Happy July! It’s really feeling like summer around metro Detroit (thank goodness!). While we don’t have our regular meeting this month, there is a lot going on to be aware of!
If you haven’t signed up for our July 13 sew-in yet, a few spots still remain! We’ll be at the Schoolcraft College Radcliff Center from 10 am until 8 pm. Our own Jenny D. will be going over how to care for a featherweight sewing machine that day, too! There’s no cost to attend, but we do ask that you consider bringing a donation of a personal hygiene product (toilet paper, tissues, sanitary items) to donate to the student community closet located at the school. To sign up for the sew-in, email Caroline: firstname.lastname@example.org

Lizzy House Class: Bee Squad Sweetie Sept. 21
We’re excited to announce that Lizzy House will be teaching her latest pattern to our guild this September!
The Bee Squad Sweetie is a multi-purpose organizing wallet that can be used for so many different organizing needs: sewing notions, makeup necessities, and, of course, acting as a travel case for essential oils, a topic Lizzy knows a lot about as a dōTERRA leader. In addition to creating your Sweetie Wallet that day, Lizzy is also hosting a pop-up shop packed with OOP fabrics from her collections (1/8″ cuts, fat quarters, and bundles), a chance to learn more about essential oils and order directly from her, and a few more surprises.
The class will be held at the Schoolcraft College Radcliff Center from 10 to 4 pm and is $50 (class fee includes Lizzy’s pattern as well roller travel supplies with an oil of your choice) for DAMQG members ($60 to non-members). Registration for members is now open – contact Caroline (email@example.com
) directly to register. Can’t make the whole class? Feel free to stop by and check out the pop-up shop that day!
MQG Modern Monthly
Make sure you’ve checked out the latest updates from the Modern Quilt Guild in their June Modern Monthly! If you’re not receiving emails from the MQG, let Lish know!
That’s all for now! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We’re hoping to see many of you this month, but if we don’t, we’ll see you back at Northbrook in August!
Lish, Caroline, Amy, Maribeth, and Bonnie
