Welcome to The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild, a group of passionate quilters with a modern twist. DAMQG is excited to announce that we have recently joined the National Modern Quilt Guild, and we want to invite you to join us at our next monthly guild meeting. We meet at the Guildcrafters Quilt Shop in Berkley, Michigan at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted on our calendar. Our next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Our meetings consist of new and old business, up-coming ideas, Show-n-Tell and Round Robin exchanges in a friendly and informal setting.

The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild (DAMQG) is a vibrant community of quilters in the Metro Detroit area who share a passion for modern design. Our work ranges from reimagining traditional patterns with bold, contemporary fabrics to creating completely improvisational pieces without patterns.
Our meetings are full of creativity and inspiration, featuring local speakers, hands-on demonstrations, fun challenges, swaps, and—everyone’s favorite—Show & Tell! Members also enjoy occasional weekend sew-ins, workshops, and retreats that foster learning and connection.
Founded in January 2013, DAMQG is proud to be a branch of the Modern Quilt Guild. We welcome new members of all skill levels—come join us and be part of our modern quilting community!
