Hey everyone!! MQG has challenged us to the 4th annual MQG fabric challenge. The featured fabrics are from Michael Miller’s new collection, “Petal Pinwheels”. Several of our Guild members signed up for this DAM challenge! Deadline to submit your entry is Friday, July 25, 2014. Winners will be announced on August 1, 2014. Please post your entries to Instagram or send them to Sue or Donna so we can post them on Facebook and our Blog. Can’t wait to see your creations!!

The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild (DAMQG) is a vibrant community of quilters in the Metro Detroit area who share a passion for modern design. Our work ranges from reimagining traditional patterns with bold, contemporary fabrics to creating completely improvisational pieces without patterns.

Our meetings are full of creativity and inspiration, featuring local speakers, hands-on demonstrations, fun challenges, swaps, and—everyone’s favorite—Show & Tell! Members also enjoy occasional weekend sew-ins, workshops, and retreats that foster learning and connection.

Founded in January 2013, DAMQG is proud to be a branch of the Modern Quilt Guild. We welcome new members of all skill levels—come join us and be part of our modern quilting community!
