Those DAM Girls had a nice meeting today in our new location. We had several new visitors that came out to the meeting. The DAM Girls also participate in our DAM Charity Blocks. These are the blocks that were collect today for September.

Kat sewed together our charity blocks for August and brought the finished block to show for show and tell.

Several of the members participated in a Pillow Swap with Tulsa Oklahoma Modern Quilt Guild. Today was reveal day and we all enjoyed opening our gifts and see what our pillows looked like.

The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild (DAMQG) is a vibrant community of quilters in the Metro Detroit area who share a passion for modern design. Our work ranges from reimagining traditional patterns with bold, contemporary fabrics to creating completely improvisational pieces without patterns.

Our meetings are full of creativity and inspiration, featuring local speakers, hands-on demonstrations, fun challenges, swaps, and—everyone’s favorite—Show & Tell! Members also enjoy occasional weekend sew-ins, workshops, and retreats that foster learning and connection.
