About Us:
The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild (DAMQG) is a vibrant community of quilters in the Metro Detroit area who share a passion for modern design. Our work ranges from reimagining traditional patterns with bold, contemporary fabrics to creating completely improvisational pieces without patterns.
Our meetings are full of creativity and inspiration, featuring local speakers, hands-on demonstrations, fun challenges, swaps, and—everyone’s favorite—Show & Tell! Members also enjoy occasional weekend sew-ins, workshops, and retreats that foster learning and connection.
Founded in January 2013, DAMQG is proud to be a branch of the Modern Quilt Guild. We welcome new members of all skill levels—come join us and be part of our modern quilting community!
Meetings:
We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Northbrook Presbyterian Church, located at 22055 W. 14 Mile Rd., Beverly Hills, MI 48025.

Visitors are always welcome! Feel free to attend a meeting before deciding to join our guild—we’d love to meet you.
