About DAMQG

About Us:

The Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild, or DAMQG, is a small group of non-traditional quilters in the Metro Detroit area. Our work focuses on modern designs, which varies from traditional patterns made with funky fabrics to improvisational piecing without patterns.

Our meetings are filled with fun and inspiration, featuring local speakers, demonstrations, challenges, swaps and everyone’s favorite: show and tell. We also have occasional weekend sew-ins, workshops and retreats for our members.

The DAMQG was established in January 2013 and is a branch of the Modern Quilt Guild. Please join us! New members are always welcome.

Meetings:

We meet on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Northbrook Presbyterian Church – 22055 W. 14 Mile Rd., Beverly Hills, MI 48025. There are some exceptions for holidays, so please check our calendar. You are welcome to attend a meeting as a visitor before deciding to join our guild.
