Amanda Jean Nyberg Trunk Show
Join the Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild for a trunk show and lecture with quilter and author Amanda Jean Nyberg of Crazy Mom Quilts. Amanda will present her latest book, No Scrap Left Behind. Learn about her quilting journey, her creative process, and see a sampling of her amazing quilts in person. There will be time for questions along with the chance to have copies of Amanda’s books signed. Refreshments will be served.
Admission to the trunk show is FREE to DAMQG members.
Non-members: $10 fee for guests, payable in cash at the door; pre-registration is requested.

- Nancy showed off a quilt ladder from the Fabric Affair in Troy. The shop’s owner, Michelle, will take orders for the maker of the ladders. The ladders run $160-220 based on size and wood chosen. Guild members can get a discount if enough people order a ladder. (5 orders = 20% discount, 7 = 25%, 10 = 25% +ruler holder, 15+ =30%)

Heather Givans Workshop, Lecture, & Trunk Show
Mark those calendars! Heather Givans of Crimson Tate is headed to metro Detroit for a weekend of quilting creativity and inspiration! Join us June 16 and June 17 for an evening lecture and trunk show, followed up by a Saturday workshop.
Known for her charming illustrations and designs, Heather is the owner of Crimson Tate in Indianapolis and is a designer for Windham Fabrics.
In this workshop Heather will be teaching students how to make her “Letters From Home” quilt. If you’re looking to turn favorite fabrics into adorable envelopes, this snail mail pattern is for you!
The workshop runs from 10 am until 4 pm Saturday, June 17 at Clawson United Methodist Church. A sewing machine, basic sewing and quilting supplies, your selected fabrics, are to be brought to class. The pattern and template will be available for purchase as well.
A break for lunch is included; bring your own packed lunch or take a walk and visit one of the many great restaurants downtown Clawson has to offer.
